The lone Christian in the Biden administration shared his views on a punishment of Biblical proportion on the citizens of West Virginia because of a vote by Senator Joe Manchin.”God is not happy with Joe Manchin, or West Virginia,” the official said off-the-record with tears in his eyes.
The White House official’s proof of God’s wrath occurred in the Canaan Valley of West Virginia where the temperatures dropped to -31 degrees, the coldest reading on record in that area. The Canaan Valley is a popular ski valley located approximately 125 miles west of Washington, D.C.
God’s displeasure, according to the White House official, became apparent after Wednesday, January 18, 2022, as Manchin, along with Sen. Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona, sided with 50 Senate Republicans to block changes to the Senate’s filibuster rule.
“Sen. Manchin and Sen. Sinema’s vote destroyed all hopes of the the Biden Administration’s Voting Rights Act becoming law,” he said.
The White House official was not alone in publicly shaming the actions of Manchin and Sinema. According to MSNBC’s opinion columnist Dean Obeidallah, “What happened on the Senate floor was more than just a vote on a Senate rule; Manchin and Sinema chose to preserve the filibuster over preserving our democracy.”
The White House official has a warning for Arizona. “God will punish your state as well. Maybe with locusts, or grasshoppers, or something worse.”
Or maybe by allowing thousands of illegal immigrants to pour across the state’s southern border.
