WASHINGTON D.C. – New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez expressed her fury at Senator Joe Manchin, West Virginia, and Kyrsten Sinema, Arizona, after they failed to support the Democrats efforts to remove the Senate filibuster for Build Back Better and Voting Rights legislation.
Back in June 2021, Senate Republicans filibustered the all-important Voting Rights legislation. Rep. Ocasio-Cortez tweeted, “Call me radical, but I do not believe a minority of Senators should be able to block voting rights for millions of people. But I guess I’m just from that far-left school of thought that legislation should pass when a majority of legislators vote for it.”
Ocasio-Cortez is now channeling her efforts to unseat Manchin and Sinema all by her self. Although Manchin and Sinema are not up for election in 2022, she has purchased homes in Arizona and West Virginina. Her plan is to run for Senate in Arizona and West Virginia in 2024, as well as run for Congress in her New York district.
“This political stuff is easy,” she explained to her fawning media darlings. “It will be easy to handle the work necessary as a two times Senator and a congresswoman. Believe me. I got this. Watch out losers, the hammer is coming down in 2024.”
